The London Marathon

On Sunday 13th April 2014 36,000 runners took part in the London Marathon. Amongst them were 5 amazing individuals taking part in support of Coram Voice’s work with children and young people who are vulnerable to harm or exclusion from society. Between them they have raised an incredible £7,000 with the total still rising.

One runner, Rebecca (pictured here at her fundraising 'mixology evening'), said afterwards that running her first marathon was “an amazing experience” despite admitting to feeling somewhat terrified beforehand.

Coram Senior Executive Officer Jason Lee (pictured right), who ran for Coram Voice, said:

I jumped at the chance to run the Marathon for Coram Voice. Knowing about the great work that they do - any little thing I can do to help I will.”

Running the Marathon has really helped raise awareness with the people I see on a daily basis, which is great.”

If you’re feeling inspired to run in 2015, please contact the Coram Corporate Team on 020 7520 0426 or email to find out more or enquire about a place. There are guaranteed places available for those who can commit to fundraising £1,750 in sponsorship, or if you are lucky enough to secure a place in the ballot, we’d love you to choose Coram Voice as your charity to support!

Other Events & Challenges

"I chose Coram Voice because I know the value of the work they do and how essential it is to providing support for the most vulnerable children. I am only too aware of the difficult situations our young people face and I was only too happy to raise money." [Lisa, 10k runner for Coram Voice]

Getting involved in a Challenge Event is one of the most fun and rewarding ways to show your support for Coram Voice’s work. As well as marathons, people have undertaken triathlons, skydives and more and raised thousands for our work with vulnerable children and young people who have some reliance on the state for their wellbeing and welfare, making sure they are enabled to have their voices heard.

Recent examples have included the British 10k and the Clapham Common 10k. There are a huge and ever-growing number of events to choose from, and we'd love to have your support.
