Learning and development
“10/10 – Your training could not be improved.” (Social Worker)
“The training challenged me and made me really think. Able to get into the minds eye of a child. Stated from child’s point of view.” (Secure Home Key Worker)
“We have been confident to tell our commissioners that this is the most relevant and informative training that we have accessed and have since joined other courses you offer”. (Disability Charity Worker)
Children and young people in public care are some of the most vulnerable in our society. They need knowledgeable and competent workers to champion their rights, ensure their voice is heard and intervene when things go wrong.
Coram Voice provides an award-winning range of learning opportunities in advocacy, children’s rights and child-centred practice, for our workers and the wider children’s workforce; including seminars and training days, qualifications and blended learning. All our trainers are highly qualified and experienced in their field and we work with our Legal and Policy Unit to ensure course information reflects the latest legal position and best practice.
Why choose Coram Voice?
- Child-centred practice has to start with the child and stay with the child. So children and young people contribute to the design and delivery of our learning events and resources.
- We encourage practitioners, carers and young people to share experiences and create a vibrant learning community built on good practice, reflection and innovation.
- Our learning can help you to achieve the vision in the Munro Review: “The system should be child-centred: everyone …should pursue child-centred working and recognise children and young people as individuals with rights, including their right to participation in decisions about them…”
The Learning & Development team are currently devising a new training schedule for 2016 and details will be available soon.
