Associate Independent Person for Complaints

Location: Cambridgeshire

Contract type: Associate

Salary: £16.75 per hour professional time. Travel time at 50%

Coram Voice is a leading provider of Independent Person services with over 30 years experience. Having recently won the contract to provide a Children Act Complaints service to Cambridgeshire County Council, we are recruiting experienced professionals to act as Independent Persons for complaint investigations.Successful candidates with sufficient experience will also act as Investigating Officers and/or Stage 3 panel members. 

You will work with us on a self employed Associate basis but you will receive training, case support and the opportunity for peer discussion.

We are looking for professionals who have a genuine commitment to the rights of children, young people to have a voice in the way they are cared for, in decisions that are made about their lives and the services they receive.

Applicants will need to have good analytical, investigative and problem solving skills and be available to respond quickly and flexibly to referrals. We would welcome applications from candidates who have experience of working within statutory and voluntary agencies. 

General considerations

Please note that people employed by a local authority cannot work for Coram Voice in the same authority.

All posts are subjected to an Enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service check and successful candidates will not be able to work unsupervised with children or young people until the completion of this process.

All Coram Voice Associates are required to comply with Coram Voice Codes of Practice and Code of Ethics.
