Winners for Voices 2018 have now been announced! Coram Voice’s third national writing competition for children in care and young care leavers was closed for entries on 8 February. Winners and shortlisted entrants were presented their prizes at the Awards Ceremony at Coutts on 9 April.
The theme for this year's competition was 'Who or What Makes You Proud' and prizes included a tablet device and up to £100 in shopping vouchers. Shortlisted entries will also be showcased on a special app featuring writing from children in care.
Voices national writing competition
The competition was launched in 2016 to mark Coram Voice’s 40th anniversary and in honour of our founder, Gwen James, who died in 2015.
A platform for the voices of children in and around the care system, the competition promotes a positive image by showcasing young people’s creativity and improving understanding of their experiences.
