Rethinking Movement – Stormbreak

A presentation highlighting the positive impact of physical activity for care-experienced children and young people, as well as the important role local authorities play in facilitating these opportunities.

A presentation by Kate Bone and Emma Dowinton from Stormbreak at a Bright Spots Programme webinar that originally took place in October 2025.

Stormbreak is a charity that aims to improve children’s mental health through movement, and they were part of a group of organisations (including Coram Voice and Coram I&E) that contributed to a Local Government Association (LGA) report that focuses on how we can improve opportunities for physical activity for care-experienced children and young people.

In this presentation, Kate and Emma highlight the positive impact of physical activity for care-experienced children and young people, as well as the important role local authorities play in facilitating these opportunities.
