Your voice matters!

At Coram Voice, we want to hear what YOU think. You can help make our services better — for you and for other children and young people too.

Working with your advocate

Advocacy is all about YOU. Your advocate is there to listen to what you want and help you make your voice heard.

  1. You tell your advocate what matters to you and what you want to happen.
  2. Together you make a plan – what will they do, and what will you do?
  3. You decide things like when to meet, whether to call or text, and who they talk to.
  4. They help you build confidence to speak up for yourself – not just do it all for you.
  5. At the end, you both look back at what went well and what you achieved.

If they can’t help with something you need, they’ll point you towards someone who can.

Tell us what you think

Fill in our feedback survey

When you finish working with your advocate, you’ll get a short survey. You can fill it in by yourself or with someone you trust.

✓ It’s quick – we kept it short on purpose!
✓ It’s anonymous – no one will know it’s you, so you can be totally honest.
✓ There’s a space to write anything else you want to tell us.

Young people on our Youth Advisory Board helped us design this survey.

Email us directly

Want to share something great about your advocate? Or something you’d like us to change? You can email us any time.

You can also ask for the manager’s email if you’d prefer to write to them directly.

Young people shaping our work

Youth Advisory Board

We launched our Youth Advisory Board (YAB) in September 2024. It’s made up of care-experienced young people aged 16–25 from all over England.

They help us make big decisions, shape how we work, and make sure young people’s voices are truly heard at Coram Voice.

What YAB members do:

  • Share their views
  • Learn new skills
  • Meet inspiring people
  • Make a difference
