Amplified by Care Experience is about finding brilliant youth-led projects that are already making a difference locally and supporting them to reach more care-experienced young people across England.
We received 15 applications from groups across the country. A National Voice Ambassadors spent time carefully reviewing each application and considering how each project met the criteria.
Across the applications, Ambassadors highlighted projects as:
- “Clearly youth-led”
- “Addressing a real problem”
- “Brilliant”
- “Unique and we love that”
Ambassadors also recognised the passion, lived experience, and potential behind projects, including ideas that “could work nationally” and projects that “solve a massive problem.”
From those applications, 6 projects have been shortlisted to present at Amplify.

The shortlisted Local Authorities are:

- Darlington ‘My Next Chapter Bundle’
- East Sussex ‘My Things Matter’
- Lancashire ‘Welcome Box’
- Newham ‘Between the Lines’
- Wokingham ‘Young Experts’
At Amplify, each shortlisted group presented their project to an audience of care-experienced young people and professionals. Groups then ranked the projects from the one they believed should be MOST amplified nationally to the one they believed should be LEAST amplified nationally.
