Are you a care-experienced young person aged 16-25? Would you like to influence and shape the future of services for children in care and care leavers? We have opportunities for you.
In 2024 Coram Voice launched our Youth Advisory Board made up of passionate care experienced young people aged 16-25, helping us to put the voices of care experienced young people at the heart of what we do.
Coram Voice is dedicated to ensuring that the voices of children in care and care leavers are heard in decisions that impact their lives. Through our advocacy, independent visitor programs, and national programmes like the Bright Spots Programme, A National Voice and Voices writing competition, we work tirelessly to uphold the rights and amplify the voices of care-experienced young people.
As a member of the Youth Advisory Board, you’ll help guide Coram Voice’s strategic direction, ensuring our services line up with the needs of care experienced children and young people.
This is more than just a role it’s a chance to gain valuable skills, connect with other care experienced young people, and have a direct impact on the work Coram Voice do.
You’ll meet monthly online and four times in person a year, engage in training, learn how organisations work, meet with the Board of Trustees and have the opportunity to contribute to various projects. The role is for 18 months.
If you’re interested (or if a young person you support might be interested) and would like to find out more about what the role involves, come along to our online information session:
