This short film, recorded in September 2023, is about the Bright Spots pilot in Scotland, which began in January 2022.
First, we hear from Micky Anderson, Data Lead at CELCIS, who introduces the Bright Spots Programme and discusses the Scottish pilot, which heard from hundreds of children, young people and care leavers.
We then hear from colleagues in two of the local authorities that participated in the Scottish pilot – Grace Fletcher, Service Manager for Family Support and Young People at East Ayrshire Council, and Andrew Dick, Service Manager at Aberdeenshire Council. They reflect on the impact of the Programme so far, their plans for the future, and offer advice for local authorities interested in applying to the second phase of the Scottish pilot, beginning in 2024.
