How can I get an Advocate?

Our Advocacy Helpline can help support you to get an Advocate and tell you your rights.

What is an Advocate and how can they help me?

An Advocate is there to make sure you are involved in decisions about your life and to help you speak out when things go wrong.

How do I find an Advocate in my local area?

Search for your local Advocacy service, if you are a looked after child, a care leaver or  living in a secure children’s home, Young Offenders Insitute (YOI) or Secure Training Centre (STC).

AdvoCat

If you are a young person in care, AdvoCat is here to make sure your voice is heard loud and clear.

Independent Visitors

An Independent Visitor is an adult who is there just for you, they are like a friend, someone who you would meet up with regularly, have fun with and do things together.
