How can I get an Advocate?

If you want an Advocate phone the Advocacy Helpline – we will make sure you get an Advocate if you are: 

  • In care, leaving care or need help from Children’s Services?
  • Want to  know about your rights?
  • Not getting the support you need from your social worker?
  • Or if you just want some help or to be listened to

Our Advocates are there to answer your call from Monday to Friday 9.30am–6pm and Saturday 10am–4pm. If you want to speak to someone outside these times and your call is urgent just phone and leave a message and someone will phone you back.        

If English is not your first language, the Advocate will get an interpreter to join your call.

We’ll always try to help you straight away and always get back to you within 24 hours.
